We are heartbroken at the devastation caused by the recent floods - so many people have lost their homes and possessions. So very sad.
It's also heartbreaking to see how much of the Holloways Beach Esplanade has been reclaimed by the ocean! Marlin Coast Lions Club and Cairns Regional Council are of the same mind - we want to see the return of the markets at some point. A lot of rectification works will be needed but what that entails and how that will impact on the look of the markets is up in the air. Please know that the markets will return but at this stage we don't know when. To all of our stallholders we ask for your patience - we'll keep you informed all the way on our new journey. Welcome to our picturesque markets on Holloways Beach, proudly hosted by the Marlin Coast Lions Club!
Boasting over 140 stalls offering a diverse range of locally-crafted and sourced products, our vibrant and picturesque markets take place on the stunning Holloways Beach on the second Sunday of each month from 8am to 1pm.
What a relaxing way to start your day by indulging in delectable food offerings, enjoying a fresh juice or ground coffee, admiring locally made arts and crafts, checking out the racks of fashion and accessories, including exquisite jewellery, marvelling at the skill of talented wood turners, and browsing through an array of household goods, fruit, plants, flowers, and pet care offerings. Our eclectic mix of Trash and Treasure stalls will also delight treasure hunters and bargain seekers alike. We all love a bargain!
